I haven’t read a book quite this intense in a while. I’m going to go ahead and assume her name was supposed to be devious or devil because she was both.

I wanted to be sympathetic with Crystal but I couldnt, she was acting like a shrew when Julian hadn’t really given her a reason to doubt him. If there’s one thing I hate it’s paranoid women that don’t have the patience to listen to someone who they claim to love. If Julian had cheated on her before I’d cheer her on but as it happens he hadn’t so I don’t know why she was all mental, but that’s just me. I guess jealousy can drive one mad. The accident made me tear up , those poor children.

Julian on the other hand had no idea about Devia, I don’t know how that’s possible , not finding it odd when he saw her popping everywhere.

Devia was so evil there should be an award named after her .

It was interesting to read, loved it.

5 of 5 stars

Red Veil of Murder is the fifth book in the Matt Series. As all of the other books in this series, I devoured every sentence from the Foreward to the Epilogue. My emotions went through the ringer once again. I didn’t know whether to laugh or cry! I was shocked and surprised! I didn’t see that twist coming! At one point, and I won’t say when, my heart was breaking and was filled with sadness. What is wrong with me? Give me my straight jacket and medications now, please! All the characters are back for this book.

Matt escapes to the U.S. to find his one true love, Venia. In all the other books, I have a love/hate relationship with Matt. In Red Veil of Murder, I was cheering him on! Has he met his match when he meets Devia? Or is that his Venia?
Michel is still on the hunt for Matt. Will he ever be in the same place, same time to catch his suspect?
Marie, poor Marie. If we could all learn to dance in rain, the world would be a happier place.
Julian, dear sweet Julian. What will happen now that he has found out the truth, but there is still so much more to learn! Is he going to go off the rails of the crazy train?
We visit with Ellen, Veronique, and even baby Damon. “Tick tock” shows up too! This is another hard review to write because it is so easy to give away parts of this book.

This is a 5+ star read for me. I am continually amazed at the intricate story that Viveca Benoir continues to tell. I would love to get inside her head!!  🙂

This books delivers AGAIN! …
A range of happiness, anger, hate, sadness,OMG,WTH moments as it continues on with Matt’s story. So far I have loved to hate Matt throughout the other books. But this one has brought sadness into the mix of my feelings towards him. I laughed and cried, but I won’t give spoilers,so you will just have to read this.

I have special feelings toward Marie, as we hear and feel everything she is going through. I’d love to dance in the rain with her!.
Will she eventually find her freedom again? Or will she lose more of herself along the way?.

Julian will find out exactly what his “wife” is up to….

Revenge can be bitter sweet, but it can also crush a person to the point they don’t care what happens to them. So many twist and turns, and many I really didn’t see coming. Another roller coast ride with stops along the way to take it all in.

There is so much happening that I’d love to make more comments, but I will sum it all up (without spoiler) AMAZING !! …. I can never work out how Viveca Benoir manages to tangle everyone together…and yes everyone is there. Including the two Cafe chic’s, got to say I love them, they made me laugh ..

If you have been reading Matt’s story so far, this is one you don’t want to miss! This one might bring heartache! But I loved it…
Find out who is now running away from who!

Dead Men Don’t Kill by Viveca Benoir is so gut-churningly fantastic (5* Review from Vamp Girl Book Reviews)

5 out of 5 Stars!

Marie in rain dmdkOMG!!! Viveca you got me! Totally lured me in at the end of To Murder Matt and I was blown away with how wrong I was!!! Within the first 2 chapters my jaw was on the floor and my head was a mess! Everything I thought was totally blown apart! Superb beyond belief!

I don’t want to give anything away in this review so will try to explain what makes this book so gut-churningly fantastic and hopefully still makes some sense!

This book picks up after the court hearing and you find out how Veronique, Nico, Ellen and Dean are trying to move on with their lives but still have the looming feeling of something isn’t quite right! Veronique and Nico are getting married and of course Ellen is pregnant but unsure who the father is, Dean the man she loves or Matt, her ex husband who she hates; and rightly so since he has tried been anything but nice to her! After Matt’s death the four were acquitted of his murder and free to carry on their lives, however there are a couple of people who think they should have paid the price and sentenced for Matt’s murder.

This book is fast paced and crammed full of detail and the storyline is one that gets better and better as the book goes on. Just when I thought it couldn’t get any worse – in a good twisted book kind of way – it did! The surprises were really shocking and left me opened mouthed with anticipation for what would happen! I NEEDED to finish this book asap and wanted to find out how it would end!

The strange thing was as evil characters gained some lucidity and you read how they realised they may be screwed up, I actually felt for them and the crap hand they were dealt with in their lives. BUT not for long before their evil took over and I could kick myself for trying to empathise with them!

This book is left on a cliff hanger and as much as I want to know what happens, how it ends, I also don’t want it to! I have grown fond of each character and their personal plight with survival – even the detective assigned to them!

This book is Evil at its best and one I would recommend over and over and over again! You really are missing a superb story if you haven’t read it!

Wow, I do not even know where to start or how to write this review. Viveca Benoir did it again. I would love to dissect her brain, LOL, because I don’t know how her mind comes up with these intricate stories where people are all interwoven somehow. Her stories have so many twists, turns, and bumps they literally leave your head spinning and your heart wondering how or why it could feel anything for these sinister and hateful characters!! Oh did I mention my jaw being open plenty of times too!! If you do not take the time to read Viveca’s foreward in her books, go back and do so. Her thoughts are absolutely fascinating. That mind of hers is definitely twisted.

Dead Men Don’t Kill is the continuation of Matt’s story. Matt has come back from the dead, but was he really dead to begin with? Revenge! This book is about Matt’s revenge on those he feel have wronged him. Ellen, Vero, Nico and Dean .. do any survive? Are there any others that are caught in the path of revenge? I guess you are going to have to read this to find out! Someone, close to Matt in more ways than not, is a major character in this book. Who is it? I loved it!!! What’s their connection? Will history repeat its self?

Five brilliant stars! An absolutely dark read not for the faint of heart!!!!!

Marie in rain dmdk

Viveca Benoir has done it again with another OMG!

We all thought Matt was dead, gone, buried and the Evil never to return, how WRONG we were. Matt’s back with a vengeance to deliver REVENGE!
For Veronique, Ellen, Dean, and Nico, life is about to take a turn for the very worst, but with only seeing a ghost from their past what can they do ?? Who will survive ??.
It’s so full of twists and turns, and OMG moments that you will once again be drawn into stalking, plotting, and the emotional roller coaster we know as Matt.
I don’t like spoilers, so I won’t give to much away…. But Marie is back with a plan of her own. She is one WILD child!
What I would give to spend one day in the mind of Viveca Benoir….
This book won’t disappoint! If you loved or hated Matt before, this book is a must , as Matt and the evil returns …
I Love these books, and I can’t wait for more !! *****5 STARS*****

IN To Murder Matt by Viveca Benoir, Matt was hated, wanted dead even. But that was to be expected as he was evil and nasty and abusive as well …so much so I wanted to murder him, and he is a character in a book!!….
Then I read Matt the beginning.. Raw, gritty dark and twisted is the tale of what made Matt Matt. Epic writing skills bring to life, the lies, loves and betrayal that molded Matt into what he became.
A book raw and edgy and filled with characters you will love to hate so much that you cannot put the book down and by the very end of the journey your jaw will be slack from the jaw dropping action and you will feel wrung out emotionally. The epic skills it took and the amazing mind that came up with this book is to be applauded.
NOTE this book is not for anyone under 18 or faint of heart

Viveca Benoir likes the crazy…she writes books that get under your skin, make you sweat and shout at your kindle. We met Julian and the sister in Matt: The Beginning and I just knew trouble was ahead. I wanted to lock Devia away for what she did to innocent people and how she absolutely was gleeful as she ruined lives.
This book was suspenseful, sexy and will make you hate this woman (and feel so bad in the process).
As with this author’s other books, the ending will leave you wondering if it’s all over or not…but nothing is ever what it seems to be and evil tends to get away with murder.
Excellent job with this fatal attraction on speed type of suspense novel.
