What the readers are saying:
Matt decides that when he gets his ‘love’ back that he will start a new beginning and right some of his wrongs – how he thinks he is going to do that I do not know!!
It was surprising to see Matt actually caring for someone other than himself, it was welcoming! But in true Matt style he wants revenge for how his ‘love’ has been treated….but, for once, his ‘victim’ deserves it. I am also excited to say that TICK TOCK IS BACK!!!!
You see glimpses of the other characters – well the ones that are still alive anyway!
Marie – dealt a rubbish hand with family and life, poor old insane Marie. Now this is a woman who deserves a happy ending!
Veronique – don’t really see much of her but after what she has been through she deserves a rest!
Ellen – again, don’t really see much of her but she is there in the background with Damon getting on with her life
Julian – poor Julian – he was very shortsighted in his relationship!
Venia – the object of obsession, the right of wrong…it’s just that she doesn’t know it
Devia – now that is an evil woman, the female version of Matt!
Michele Le Sime – has Matt in his sights and he wants him bought to justice!
And of course Matt – he reminds me of a (very evil) spoilt child – a monster to most but to his true love so gently and caring.
You will need to read to see the twists and turns this book takes. This book is nowhere near as harrowing as To Murder Matt and I am excited to see what comes next for Matt and the others.
bookshelves: loved-it
This is the fifth book in the Matt Saga. Make sure you read Dead Men Don’t Kill and Dancing with Devia before you read this one.
I find it hard to say anything about the storyline as I don’t want to spoil it for anyone that hasn’t read these books. So all I’m gonna say if your looking for a book with plenty of wtf moments then this is it. The twists and turns are unpredictable and brilliant.
Really great read. These books are certainly on my re-read list. Loved it.
It is recommended that you read the series in order. It’ll help with understanding of characters and how they came about.
Another smash hit from Viveca Benoir! I just love to hate Matt!
Red Veil of Murder by Viveca Benoir (Goodreads Author)

*If you haven’t read Dancing with Devia or Dead Men Don’t Kill then wait until you finish those before you start Red Veil of Murder!
My emotions were all over the place reading this book! I couldn’t put it down! I had to know what was going to happen!
The characters and the world that Viveca creates is so ..vivid. I don’t know how else to explain it. I’m not going to say anymore for the fear of writing spoilers!
Red Veil of Murder is a page turning emotional dark & twisted ride .. that you definitely need to ride!!
Can’t wait to read more from her!!

**Make sure you read Dead Men Don’t Kill and Dancing with Devia before you read this one.**
The Matt Saga continues and I just don’t how Viveca does it!
We were left with Matt hopping on plane and leaving behind his son since staying in France is no longer an option, to go in search of his love Venia. We frist meet Venia who was married to Matt but just then up and left him without any warning, the explosive book that is Dancing with Devia shows that Venia is in fact a twin to Devia – a fact unknown to Matt.
This book had me feeling the same towards Matt – there were portions when I thought my my he does have a heart, only for him to be his usual self and make me hate him all over again. Matt has the ability to make you feel that towards him but this whole saga has been tremendous.
This is hard to review without giving spoilers, and I hate spoilers. Suffice to say that Viveca Benoir is a brilliant writer and her characters are just so real, she will make you feel all sorts of emotions towards that you never thought would be possible.
Matt finally meets his match in this book with Devia – or should that be Venia? The twists an intricacy just has me completely hooked yet again.
Andrea‘s review
Red Veil of Murder is the fifth book in the Matt Series. As all of the other books in this series, I devoured every sentence from the Foreword to the Epilogue. My emotions went through the ringer once again. I didn’t know whether to laugh or cry! I was shocked and surprised! I didn’t see that twist coming! At one point, and I won’t say when, my heart was breaking and was filled with sadness. What is wrong with me? Give me my straight jacket and medications now, please! All the characters are back for this book. Matt escapes to the U.S. to find his one true love, Venia. In all the other books, I have a love/hate relationship with Matt.
In Red Veil of Murder, I was cheering him on! Has he met his match when he meets Devia? Or is that his Venia? Michel is still on the hunt for Matt. Will he ever be in the same place, same time to catch his suspect? Marie, poor Marie. If we could all learn to dance in rain, the world would be a happier place. Julian, dear sweet Julian. What will happen now that he has found out the truth, but there is still so much more to learn! Is he going to go off the rails of the crazy train? We visit with Ellen, Veronique, and even baby Damon. “Tick tock” shows up too! This is another hard review to write because it is so easy to give away parts of this book.
This is a 5+ star read for me. I am continually amazed at the intricate story that Viveca Benoir continues to tell. I would love to get inside her head!! 🙂

This books delivers AGAIN! …
A range of happiness, anger, hate, sadness,OMG,WTH moments as it continues on with Matt’s story. So far I have loved to hate Matt throughout the other books. But this one has bought sadness into the mix of my feelings towards him. I laughed and cried, but I wont give spoilers,so you will just have to read this.
I have special feelings toward Marie, as we hear and feel everything she is going through. I’d love to dance in the rain with her!.
Will she eventually find her freedom again? Or will she lose more of herself along the way?.
Julian will find out exactly what his “wife” is up….
Revenge can be bitter sweet, but it can also crush a person to the point they don’t care what happens to them. So many twist and turns, and many I really didn’t see coming. Another roller coast ride with stops along the way to take it all in.
There is so much happening that I’d love to make more comments, but I will sum it all up (without spoiler) AMAZING !! …. I can never work out how Viveca Benoir manages to tangle everyone together…and yes everyone is there. Including the two Cafe chic’s, got to say I love them, they made me laugh ..
If you have been reading Matt’s story so far, this is one you don’t want to miss! This one might bring heartache! But I loved it…
Find out who is now running away from who!
